Keilor is a north-western suburb located in a basin of the Maribyrnong River. Primarily residential, it is flanked by large shopping centres such as Centro Keilor in Keilor Downs, and Watergardens Town Centre in Taylors Lakes.
Keilor is touted as a family-friendly suburb due to the number of schools in and around the area, such as the prestigious Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School in Keilor East.
