Tony Catena

Two years into a carpentry apprenticeship, Tony was attracted by a career in real estate and joined Barry Plant in 1993 as a property manager, then progressed in to sales some four years later. Today he is an REIV Certified Licensed Estate Agent and an accomplished auctioneer.

"I have never regretted the move to real estate for a moment, I'm at the coal face and have constant contact with people, I am involved with the transaction from start to finish and get a real buzz out of conducting auctions."

Tony has a friendly, easy going approach but is nevertheless driven to achieve both his clients' and his personal goals. "There's no reason why business shouldn't be conducted in a friendly environment but at the same time it is important to recognise that the sale of a property is a major event in anyone's life."

A team player, Tony believes the support he receives from his colleagues throughout the network and at corporate level delivers tangible benefits to his clients. "Barry Plant is a great company with excellent training and a genuine commitment to its Red Carpet experience."

Family activities with his wife and two sons take up most of Tony's leisure time but he also finds time to enjoy the company of friends and follow the fortunes of his favourite AFL football team.
