Windy Hill, the AFL ground that serves as the Essendon Bombers practice oval, is perhaps the area's most iconic local landmark. However, residents also benefit from the presence of two major shopping precincts: Essendon DFO, and a Westfield shopping centre in Airport West. Combined, they boast hundreds of big name retailers and several bustling food courts.
